The exclusive, 5-star Nedile Lodge can accommodate 10 guests in 5 luxurious rooms. Nedile’s stylish suites have been positioned perfectly between rocky outcrops on a north-facing slope, and are complimented perfectly by breathtaking views of the Waterberg Mountains.

Two of the suites may be used as family units with an inter-leading entrance hall. Each suite at Nedile has been designed for complete privacy, relaxation and comfort, and has a private deck, fireplace, ceiling fan, indoor and outdoor showers, and an invitingly luxurious bathroom.

The main lodge at Nedile, with its African theme, comprises a bar, dining room and comfortable lounge, and invites guests to sit back, relax and take in the peace and tranquility of the surroundings, all while experiencing the warmth of South African hospitality.

THE GAME RESERVE

The 36 000 hectare (more than 80000 acre) Welgevonden Private Game Reserve is situated in the heart of the Waterberg, and boasts beautifully unspoilt, malaria-free bushveld. 

This spectacular reserve is not only home to Africa’s magnificent Big 5, but also houses a vast array of bird and animal life, including giraffe, kudu, impala, wildebeest, red hartebeest, tsessebe, gemsbok, waterbuck and bush pigs.

Welgevonden is also a sanctuary for some of Africa’s rare and unusual animal species like the brown hyena, aardwolf, aardvark and honey badger – all best spotted during evening game drives.

The diverse habitat on the reserve welcomes and provides for a wide range of animal and bird life. While the grassy plains of the reserve absolutely abound with antelope – from the largest eland to the most diminutive duiker – the cheetah, lion and leopard are also always close by.

Rolling wooded mountains cut by deep rocky ravines and majestic gorges make Welgevonden Private Game Reserve an evocative piece of Africa. Aptly meaning ‘well found’, this is a place of rare and rugged beauty, plentiful wildlife and prolific birdlife. At Nedile there are a variety of activities on offer for all to enjoy. Game viewing in open vehicles as well as guided walks, afford guests the opportunity to get up-close and personal with some of Africa’s untamed and most majestic creatures, as well as the magnificent plant life which abounds in this region of the country. The reserve is well stocked with lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, rhino, elephant, zebra, giraffe and many other mammals, birds and trees.

Both our game drives through the untamed African wilderness and guided walks are conducted by experienced game rangers and are guaranteed to provide travelers with a new and unique view of nature and its splendor, whilst traversing undulating hills, following river courses and exploring open grass plains. After enjoying one of the spectacular game viewing activities, guests are invited to cool down in the refreshing rock swimming pool, overlooking the valley below.
